Los Tetas

Hello everybody.

In this week i went to see and enjoy the music of a Chilean band. They split up in 2004 and they met to play again last year. This was important for me because is of my favorites Chileans bands and I like the funk music. I'm talking about Los Tetas.

Los Tetas was born in 1994 and his genre music is funk. They have a black music influence and you can listen this in part of songs.  The members of band are four. The guitarist is Cristian Moraga more famous about C-Funk. The vocalist is Camilo Cataldi (Tea Time), the bassist “Rulo” and drummer “Pepino”.

In their first stage they made three studio albums: “Mama Funk”, “La Medicina” and “Tómala”.

Here you can see a great song of this band. I think is the most popular: Cha Cha Cha.

I’m very happy with Los Tetas return and I hope to go see them another time. They will publish a new studio album this year and I’m sure it will be the best.

Hello everybody.

Today i’m going to write about as i prepare for see the soccer selection of Chile. This weekend Chile going to play with Bolivia for world cup qualifying. A match of soccer selection stop the country. I see these match with my friends or my family and i always wait see win Chile.

Normaly i meet with my friends in Santiago and we going to pub to drink some beer and see the match. But in this chance i’m going to travel to La Calera and i to meet again with my school friends. We will make a barbecued and enjoy the match.

When soccer selection plays in Santiago and if i have a lot of  money i go to see the match at stadium, but that’s a exception.

If Chile win i drink beer so much for celebrate the victory and if Chile lose too. These match are very exciting  because the people go to square to sing and shout to encourage to team.

In this blog I’m going to write about a picture of a movie that is special for me. This movie was making for an American film director: Quentin Tarantino. He is my favorite film director. His movies are different and I like this. 

In the scene appear two famous actors that are the protagonist of movie. They are Samuel Jackson as Jules Winnfield and John Travolta as Vincent Vega. The first actor is special because to appear in very much Tarantino’s movies.

I choose this picture because show a scene of the movie Pulp Fiction and I think that this is the best movie of Tarantino. It was the first movie that I see of this director. 

This photo was taken before 1994. In this year was published the movie. 

I like this photo because show in one picture as to work these characters and as is their life style.

Hello. Today I’m going to write about of the most important city for me, where I grew up and live my childhood: La Calera.

My city is located in Quillota province, Valparaíso region, Chile. Is near of Santiago. The distance between two points is one hundred eighteen kilometres.

Its name comes of the lime mineral. In this city extract to the mine this mineral and give the name. La Calera means limestone mine.

The town to go the Aconcagua river.

The commune have 50503 population according to census and is very small because is a surface of sixty square metres.

The mayor is Eduardo Martinez who was town councillor previously. He is politically active of DC, but was chosen councillor when he to belong of other politic alliance.

The most famous institution of La Calera is its professional soccer team: Unión La Calera. This soccer team plays in the first division and play in Nicolás Chahuán stadium. This stadium is the most beautiful around the world.

Another important institution is Liceo Industrial. This school is the older of La Calera and actually to impart five specializations.

I need more time for speak of my city but I hope speak them another time.

My bass

My favorite piece of technology is my bass. When i was boy i want learn to play this music instrument because i admire a lot bassist of my favorite bands.

I got my bass for my birthday six years ago and this was the best present that i received. This day was change my daily routine and began to learn play the bass. 

I use my bass when i want to relax or to share with my friends and my brother.

I like my bass because i like the music. I can play bass every day in my free time. I like this instrument because i can meet with another musicians and form a band and play our favorite songs. 

If i hadn't been given i could do any other activities in my free time. 

 My favorite band is called Red Hot Chili Peppers. They are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Los Angeles.

Their members are four: the vocalist Antonhy Kiedis, the bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary, the drummer Chad Smith and the guitarist Josh Kinghloffer. Only Anthony and "Flea" participated the entire career.

This band has an extensive discography with ten studio albums. Their most known album is "Californication"(1999). This album has good songs.

I like this band because the style of music is a mixture of rock and funk. I like their lyrics too because they are very expressive.

My favorite song of Red Hot Chili Peppers is "Fight like a brave". This song deals with the problems the band members had with drugs. 

I went a concert of them when they came to Chile in 2011. The concert was really exciting because it was the first time that I saw them performing live. 

My autobiography

My name is Sebastián Humberto Belmar Ahonzo. I was born in Santiago. My birthday is on 23 September and i am 19 years old. I am the thirst of three brothers.

I lived in La Calera when i was a child and  i studied in Quillota in Instituto Rafael Ariztía. Before, when i was three years old, i was going to kindergarten. His name is Los Pelusitas and stay in La Calera. Here i made my first friends of my life.

In my school i did much activities: sports, music and others. Here i did my favorite hobbies. I played in soccer selection team of my school and participate in a school band playing the bass.

I lived in La Calera because my father worked in a supermarket of the city. My mother is housewife. 

Actually i live in Santiago because i study Public Administration in Universidad de Chile. I live in apartment with one of my brothers who also study in my university. He studies economy.
